Who are we? Glad you asked…

Island Cats started many years ago with one volunteer who works outdoors and noticed strays around her worksites – some of them newly born and frightened.  She soon realized that a lot of our feline friends were without veterinarian care and sometimes without access to food or water.

This feline-loving volunteer decided to help the mostly abandoned strays by spaying and neutering a small group of cats from various areas on the Leeward Coast of Oahu, Hawaii.  Unfortunately, some of the cats and kittens could not be returned to their colony areas due to safety or health concerns.

Island Cats was born out of compassion for our island felines and the goal to keep them healthy and happy while awaiting their forever homes.  Here at Island Cats, our fur-babies and buddies live freely in a safe and secure enclosed area with food, water, toys and plenty of love and cuddles!

Of course, word spread quickly about Island Cats’ safe and loving feline environment which resulted in a trusting relationship with The Hawaii Cat Foundation.  Since then, Island Cats have fostered many of their feline friends of all ages.  Our mission at Island Cats is to get the word out to “Adopt Not Shop” when looking for a cat or kitten to add to your family.

We are open by appointment, so please contact us and come visit the enclosed cat patios or “Catios”.  You will have the opportunity to interact and get to know the unique personalities of the cats and kittens before deciding to adopt.

In cooperation with The Hawaii Cat Foundation, Island Cats can also be found at Petco in Kapolei every Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm

Please take a moment to visit our available link to find your new family member!  We look forward to helping you meet your fur-ever friend!
